The A109 alone has a similar number of variants not ingam. This without counting the variats with Spikes (at least other 2) and the whole family of utility helis (A109, AW139,AW149, AW169, AW159) T129 Atak (maybe premium?) : More modern version for Turkey, with turkish armaments and T800 engines – A129 International: preatty much same as ingame CBT but with more powerful T800 engines A129 international prototype: T800 engines, same optics as CBT, 20mm gun with apache-like cheeks to store ammo and an asimmetric lodout with more rocket options (there was also a variant with a enclosed gun, not able to rotate 360°) A129 production: No gun, better optics (same as ingame CBT) and a more common lodout of ATMS and rockets A129/T800: no gun, tested variant with fewer ATMs or rocket options, but with more powerful T800 engines – A129 early : no gun, older optics, 3 hellfires per pilon and not 4 The only way to save this boi i think is maybe adding some unique gimmick like the Horus UAV lounched by the 120 gun (much like the planes with ships) and give the option to spot from above with that (but overall i think a nation can have a good toptier lineup even without an MBT since the vehicles that do better in toptier are the light tanks or the are at least 6 more verants of the AW129 Mangusta (that thing is around since the 70s and has changed a lot through time) The Arietes are solid, but not even near good as the new MBTs. If the HE-MOM would work properly with its anti-missile capability, maybe could return being more appealing The OTOMATIC even if outranged by SAM platforms, its still the only AA capable of defending itself from MBTs effectively even at mid-long range outside the ADATS. The centauro as said is fun and is incredibly competitive. The main issue i see with italian top tier is with CAS, which is not exixstent for Italy above 8.7, since i think the ground part is preatty ok overall. To me the italian heli tree potential is second only to USA and USSR. It’s extremely sad their heli tree got completely forgotten since Italy is one of the more, if not the most, experienced nation in Europe in producing and designing helicopters. From the ground point of view Gaijin did preatty well with italy adding all the differtent variant of the Dardo last year, but for air… they only got a bunch of planes everyone have, the F104.
